Labor Ready, Induction Massage
Picture

While we believe it is best to allow labor and birth to come naturally on its own, there are situations where women can greatly benefit from an induction massage. This massage also helps ensure that the pelvis is labor ready.  A labor ready pelvis is one that is not bound by tight fascia, muscles or ligaments.  This is vital in allowing the opening of the pelvis for the baby to come through as efficiently as possible.

This 90 minute session was developed and is performed by, experienced Doula and Licensed Massage Therapist, Jennifer Roberts.  She has used her 18 years experience as a Doula and her 8 years of experience as a massage therapist to develop a labor induction massage with a high success rate.  Using relaxation, acupressure,  specific techniques to open the pelvis, and exercises for homework, most women report going into labor within 2-3 days of their first session.  If baby isn't ready, labor won't start, but this massage will still pave the way toward a more efficient labor.  Women also report a significantly faster labor.
Women must be in their 38th week or later unless approved by care provider.

Fertility Massage
Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy

Picture

Founded on the Mayan technique of abdominal massage.  This abdominal massage is an external non-invasive manipulation that repositions internal organs that have shifted, thereby restricting the flow of blood, lymph, nerve, and chi (energy flow).

There are many benefits to women and men. Many women today experience pelvic issues that are considered normal.  Old adhesions from invasive treatments and injuries to the pelvic and abdominal area, including fibroids, endometriosis, and cesarean delivery are diminished when addressed by uterine massage.   Many men experience issues with their prostate, low testosterone, and poor sperm quality.  Abdominal massage has been found to help with some of these issues especially when combined as complimentary to western medicine.  In addition to reproductive issues, this technique aids in improving gastrointestinal issues as well.

Because "Our Issues are in our Tissues" You will receive thorough information and support as you go through this healing journey.
Benefits of Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy:
✺ Enhanced Fertility; whether trying to conceive naturally or with ART.
✺ Digestion symptoms: Indigestion, constipation, heartburn, rectocele
✺ Urinary symptoms: Frequent urination, incontinence, bladder infections, cystocele
✺ Circulatory symptoms: Numbness, varicosities, fatigue, hemorrhoids

The initial session includes a self care lesson, empowering you to take charge of your health.  Please plan on spending 2  1/2 hours with us at your initial session. Follow up sessions are 60 min.  V-Steams add an additional 30 minutes to the follow up sessions and are recommended.
